This piece draws the eye in from the outer feathers and visa versa from the inner core of the elements to the feathers.

The details contained within every layer shows aspects of our lives on Earth:

Elements; Fauna and Flora; Geographies we live in; diversity in how we live; basic understanding that our food comes from the soil and its diversity; our energy from the Sun and planets within the larger cosmos.

The feathers all represent the different cultures on Earth. We are connected to and dependant on our planet and its place in the cosmos.

I wanted to show that we can live harmoniously and co-operatively on Earth.

I have re-drawn this design digitally too, which gives two different views of the same design.

My technique here is a smooth layering of two to four layers of acrylic paint,

giving it a solid colour finish for good quality Gicleé prints.

This multicoloured piece is a versatile, bold design in any space you place it in.
