Acrylic Mandala (61 x 61) cm on canvas. One of four in a series.
This design is a fusion of Arctic symbols, African designs and Hopi myths, as well as the bright colour combinations I’ve observed while doing my research.
The use of coloured shapes denote our multiculturalism and how humans moved across the earth. The purple glass beads represent trade between cultures and the turquoise necklace reminds us that we are all one. The feather symbols represent tribal groups that developed, creating the diversity we have today.
My technique here is a smooth layering of two to four layers of acrylic paint, giving it a solid colour finish for good quality Giclée prints.
This multicoloured piece is versatile, a bold design in any space you place it in.
